Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Zab & Roy Investment Group ("Ruckus," "we," "us") collects and uses information when you use helloruckus.com and the Ruckus games and experiences (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

Hosts (people who create an account):

  • Account details: name of your organization, email address, password (stored securely by our authentication provider), and team members you invite.
  • Event content: titles, bingo squares, prompts, recognition messages, logos, brand colors and settings.
  • Billing: plan and payment history. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.

Participants (people who join with a code):

  • The first name or display name you enter, the events you join, and your game activity (such as squares marked, guesses, answers, scores and wins).
  • Photos you choose to upload in photo games.
  • We do not ask participants for an email address, phone number or account.

Everyone:

  • Basic technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, used to run, secure and improve the Service.
  • Small amounts of browser storage needed to keep you signed in or connected to a game. We do not use advertising cookies.

2. How we use information

  • To run games and experiences, show live results, winners and leaderboards, and produce event summaries for hosts.
  • To create and manage accounts, process payments and send service emails (such as sign-in links, invites and receipts).
  • To provide AI writing tools when a host uses them.
  • To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To understand overall usage and improve the Service.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

3. Who can see what

  • Participants' first names and wins can be seen by the host and by other participants in the same event (for example, in "Who's here," leaderboards and on the big screen).
  • Photos are visible only to that event's host and participants while the event is running. Hosts can hide any photo before it is shown.
  • Hosts and co-hosts in the same organization can see that organization's events and results.

4. Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:

  • Hosting, database and authentication (Lovable Cloud, built on Supabase).
  • Payments (Stripe).
  • AI writing (Anthropic). Only the text a host enters into the AI tool is sent. We do not send participant names, photos or game activity.
  • Fonts and site delivery providers that may receive basic technical information such as IP address.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.

5. How long we keep it

  • Uploaded photos are deleted 30 days after the event ends.
  • Event results, participant names and summaries are kept while the host's account is active so hosts can view past events. Hosts can ask us to delete events at any time.
  • Account and billing records are kept while the account is active and afterwards as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections, access controls that separate each organization's data, and private storage for photos. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing us. Hosts can edit or delete much of their content directly in the app. Participants can ask their host to remove them from an event, or contact us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor requests as the law requires. We do not sell personal information.

8. Children

The Service is meant for workplace events. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us and we will delete the information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will notify hosts by email or in the app before they take effect.
